The Adventures of Ed and Luci: Episode Two
Hello! Sorry for the late update! Here is episode two!~ Yay~ This is one of my favorite in the series, so I hope you enjoy! (-^.^-)/
What? An Alien?
The 18 year old twins, Ed and Luci,
were renting a small apartment on the outskirts of town, a little
ways away from civilization. Which made them both quite bored, well,
Luci anyway.
Luci was lying on her love seat upside
down, her green eyes closed in annoyance and her long red hair flowed
across the floor.
On the other side of their small living
room, Ed sat neatly in the office chair next to his desk, swiping his
dark bangs away from his bright blue eyes in order to read his book.
Ed could hear his sister whining on the
other side of the room but kept ignoring her in an attempt to keep
reading. Once the whines became louder and unbearable, he finally
looked over to her with annoyance. “What..?” He had a feeling
he was going to regret asking.
She pouted, still upside down while
waving her arms in frustration. “I'm so bored! Why can't something
fun just...fall from the sky or something!?” She sighed, her
arms falling to the ground numbly.
Yup, he regretted it. “Why can't you
just-” He was suddenly cut off by a very
loud crash coming from their backyard. It made Luci flip off the
love seat and land on her face. Ed would have probably laughed if he
hadn't ran towards the window, practically throwing his book at his
poor defenseless computer.
He looked to find a huge crater now in
their wounded backyard with glowing, blueish and greenish smoke
rising from the center. He stared. “Something....fun, huh?” He
really regretted
asking now.
Luci got up to her feet and went over to stand next to him, looking
over to try and see what it was, only to just see smoke. She blinked.
“What is that..?”
He gave a slightly worried expression. “I have no idea.” He
glanced to her, knowing what she would say next, which made him worry
even more.
Her
eyes lit up a little. “Ooo!~ Let's go check it
out!” And with that she started dragging her worried brother with
her out the door.
Ed knew she was going to say that. He
just sighed.
Now at the edge of the crater, they
tried to see what it was that made it in the first place, but the
smoke still covered it up. Luci pouted.
The crater itself wasn't very big, just
around 20 feet wide and 5 to 6 feet deep. Ed wondered if it was just
a meteorite, but then how could it survive coming through the
atmosphere? It didn't make much sense.
Then the smoke started to slip off and
clear, making Ed wish he had never asked his innocent sister what she
had wanted.
What was now in their sights...was a
small cartoon-looking space ship, all beat and banged up from the
crash landing.
They both blinked in disbelief.
“Um...Ed?....Is that what I think it is..?” Ed couldn't even
speak as he looked at the strange thing.
Then it suddenly popped open, smoke
coming out of it, making Luci cling to her brother for dear life. Ed
just blinked again, waiting to wake up and smell the roses in the
vase next to his bed, wanting to get out of this strange dream.
And when they thought it couldn't get
any stranger, a weird pile of lime green sludge, no bigger than the
palm of your hand, came rolling out of it and stopped a few feet away
from them.
Ed didn't know how he would die first.
By the little green blob in front of him? Or by his sister squeezing
him to death?
At any rate, he just stared at it and
blinked when it seemed to stand up. You could now find that it had
rounded off subs for arms and black dots for eyes and a mouth.
Ed wondered if this was some weird
remake of Flubber and he would find cameras staring into his face
soon, but he highly doubted it and found that he wasn't dreaming as
the squishing pain still came from his sister.
This was reality.
He stared at it, but now it stared
back. Luci shook in fear and looked at it. “E-E-E-Ed?....W-What is
that? Please tell me I'm dreaming, or going nuts, or need mental help, or something!” She screeched as it looked to her.
Ed watched it. “Nope, this is
reality little sister.” He was much calmer now that he found that
it wasn't a part of his imagination, though Luci would have probably preferred it that way.
Ed bent down and tilted his head, the
little one followed and copied the movement. Luci finally stopped
shaking but still hid behind Ed, watching intently.
Ed gave a small smile. He couldn't help
but think the little guy was cute. “Do you...understand me be
chance?”
The green blob nodded. Ed and Luci
blinked in surprise. “Oh, well, what did you came to earth for?
You..ah..come in peace?” He felt really awkward saying that
seriously. Luci was trying to hold in her laughter and was failing
miserably. Ed glared at her.
The green blob melted back into a
puddle and the two started freaking out.
“Ed ! You totally scared the little
guy!”
“Says the girl that's still hiding
behind me!”
“Hey! At least he likes me!”
“What?! How do you know that!?”
“I just do!”
“...So you two are part of this
planet's ruling living organism? I hope your species won't become
existent, you're quite entertaining.” The sudden voice was almost
nerdy and slightly high pitched.
The two stopped altogether and looked
over to him in unison. He suddenly had bulky glasses and a clipboard,
and he looked amused.
Ed blinked again. “What the...Where
did you get those?” He pointed to his glasses and board. The little
blob seemed to have laughed, but it sounded more like a weird
giggle... “When I change my temperament to be able to speak the
same language as you tongued creatures of this planet, this is what
became of me.”
Luci's eyes swirled in confusion and
she had no idea what he had just told them. Ed, on the other hand,
nodded. “So you pretty much change in order to speak the same
language as us?”
It nodded. “Precisely.“
Luci was still totally lost and had no
idea what was going on in her normally boring life. Ed was talking to
the green blob while Luci stayed behind them mumbling something along
the lines of 'when I said fun this isn't what I meant' and 'I won't
ever say that again for the rest of my life'. Blah, blah, blah.
“So what's your name then? Mine's Ed
and that's my twin sister Luci.” He greeted with his hand out, not
really caring that it was an alien in front of him, and you know, not
a person.
He seemed to have smiled and shook his
hand. “Sal. You may call me Sal.” Ed nodded and withdrew his hand
kindly, noticing that it was dry and not slimy like their new friend
looks.
“So, Sal, What brings you here? You
don't seem like you want to eat us or anything.”
Sal raised a brow he did not seem to
have. “I just crash landed here on accident and will need repairs.
Eat you? Where on this Earth you live on did you get that kind of
idea? That's just irrational.”
Ed nodded and chuckled nervously.
“Human minds are a strange place...” He thought of how many
movies have that scenario but shook his head. “Anyway, you need
repairs? I should be able to fix it, we can take it to the garage.”
Sal nodded and started walking towards
the ship with Ed. He looked back at the earthling's twin sister. “Is
your twin lacking intelligence..?” Ed looked back at his sister
only to see her sitting on the ground with her hands on her head and
her eyes still swirling. “Yeah...well, maybe?”
So Then~(-' v '-)/
After putting the ship in the garage,
Ed and Sal moved Luci to the living room and calmed her down to where
she understood that she wasn't crazy and that they do speak the same
language.
As Ed thought, the ship was a lot like
his computer and was able to fix it with little trouble.
And in just a few hours, the ship was
fixed.
“Thank you very much for your
cooperation with repairs, Ed.” Sal put out his hand, seeming to
copy Ed's earlier actions.
Ed smiled and shook it. “You're
welcome, If you're ever in the galaxy, come on bye anytime.” Luci
nodded. “Yeah! Come on by sometime!”
Sal nodded and handed Ed and Luci
necklaces with some type of rock on the end. They looked at him
slightly confused as he jumped into the now repaired ship.
“A token from my planet. They mean
'we will meet again'. They're made of small stars. Take care of
them!” Ed and Luci nodded. “We will!” They called as the ship
closed and few out of their atmosphere.
The Next Morning~(-^.^-)/
Luci woke up and
started freaking out about her 'strange dream' she had had the night
before, explaining it in full detail while running around the house
for no reason, which is how Ed was woken up.
When she had finally reached his room,
she had come to the end of her story. “And then, he gave us these
weird star necklaces that mean that we will meet him again!” She
started to huff as Ed finally sat up, his hair in a total mess and he
looked very annoyed at all the noise she was making.
“Isn't that the weirdest dream
ever?!” She continued, but then she saw one of those spoken
necklaces on his table. She started to stare at it and Ed sighed.
“Luci.....Love ya sis, and I hate to
brake it to you but..” She looked at him and he looked her in the
eye.
“That wasn't a dream and it really
happened.”
Silence followed for a few solid
moments....
“SAY WHAT!?”

The Adventures of Ed and Luci: Episode one
So I have this series going...the Adventures of Ed and Luci! Yay! I've been wanting to share them with you~ Ed and Luci are characters made by me and Words According~ There's the link to her blog: http://www.wordsaccording.blogspot.com/
I wrote this a couple of years ago. xD So just keep that in mind as you read. Also, all these stories are completely random. So like this one is about a ranch, but the next one is about outer space, no relation at all between them. xD Just warning you.
At any rate...Enjoy episode one!
What? A Ranch?
Ed and Luci were twins. They lived in
a small apartment with two rooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. Both being
nineteen without their parents around gave them almost nothing to do.
Besides look for a job.
At the moment, Luci was looking online
for any open positions around town. Luci was about 5.8 feet tall, had long red
hair, and hazel eyes. She noticed an add that said ‘help wanted’
on the homepage of a website for a ranch close by.
She looked over at her brother
that was on the couch reading another one of his books. “Hey, I
found one! Come and see!” She said twisting in her chair.
He glanced away from his book to her,
and got up to see. He was tall, about 6.0, with black shaggy hair
that was always in his face, and bright blue eyes. He leaned over to
read the add. “So? Do you think we should go and check it out?”
He looked at the laptop screen like it was going to eat him. “A
ranch?” He said uncomfortably.
Luci looked up at him happily. “Yep!
It says that we can both go in tomorrow if we are interested, and it
pays enough to pay our rent every month!” He looked at her with a
disgusted face. “But..a ranch..?” He complained.
“Yes, Yes, you have to work with
animals, no one cares.” She exclaimed. He gave her a distasteful look.
“Come on, it won’t be that bad!” She said as she got up to get
ready for bed. Ed looked at the clock. It said 11:58 pm. He groaned,
picked up his book, and went to bed.
The next morning came and Ed and Luci
were right outside the ranch gate. ‘Wow!~.” Luci exclaimed,
looking at the giant gate in front of them. Ed didn't really care,
but he thought it was funny that she was so excited about working
around a bunch of cows.
They walked inside the house that was
there on the ranch. There was an old woman sitting in the kitchen.
She looked and smiled at them because she knew exactly what they were
there for. “Um, we’re here because of the 'help wanted' add.”
Ed explained.
The old woman nodded her head and
pointed out the window. “Yes, my husband is out in the barn. Please
go see him about your positions.” Ed and Luci looked at each other
and went out to the barn.
The barn was bright red like it was
just painted yesterday, but still had the structure of an old fashion
southern barn. They walked in and found an old man feeding the
horses. He was as southern as the barn he was standing in. Overalls,
beard, and a pitchfork.
He noticed them and turned to talk to
them. “Ah, hello. We’re here for the two job openings.” Said
Luci, a little nervous. The old man studied the two. “Hmm….Will
ya'll two work hard for what I offer?” he asked. They looked at each
other. “Yes.” They said in unison.
“And will do as I say no matter what
it is?” He looked at them hard as he spoke. They flinched. “Y-Yes
sir!” They stood up straight. It was almost like talking to a
general…Minis the overalls...
The old guy smiled and threw a
pitchfork at them. Ed caught it before it hit Luci in the face. “Then
ya'll can start right now.” The old man said. “W-What? Right now?” They
said at the same time.
”You kids can call me ‘Boss’ ”
He told them. Ed sighed as he looked at his sister. “Next time you
come up to me and say ‘don’t worry it’ll be fun!~’ remind me
to decline…” He complained. Luci looked at him with the pitchfork
in his hand, and laughed.
He glared. “What are you laughing
at?” He asked as he shoveled up the hey and put it in the horses
pasture. Luci helped, somewhat…Okay, she watered the horses and sat
down on the hay bail.
The next week…The old-I mean ‘Boss’
looked at them and asked them to go water the cows. So Luci and Ed
took turns carrying the water bucket up and down the field.
“Of course, the water troth is on top
of a hill….” Luci complained. “Oh! look who’s complaining
now! Wait…Say, what happened to your ‘happy, happy!’ attitude?”
He teased. She glared at him.
“And where did my lunch money
go?.....OH YEAH! That’s right!~ you spent it on another book!”
She yelled back.
Ed rolled his eyes. ”You can’t
blame me if your lunch money got replaced by an awesome book.” She
groaned. “...’Replaced’ he says...” She grumbled and
poured the water in the water troth.
She looked over and saw a guy walking
to them. He was about 5.9 feet tall, had spiky blonde hair and blue eyes. “Do
you two work here?” He asked suspiciously. Luci got nervous.
“Y-Yes. We both do, since last week. ” She said pointing at Ed and herself.
“Oh, well my name is Eden.” He smiled at Luci.
“O-Oh, well I’m Luci and this is my
brother Ed.” She introduced. Eden gave a fake smile towards her brother, and Ed just
plain out glared. Even though Eden was ‘fake’ smiling, he still
set out an evil aura to Ed, who returned it with the same amount of force.
Luci shrugged and turned around.
“I’ll go get some more water...” She said, fleeing from
the scene.
Eden’s aura said--- ‘Don’t get
in my way’
Ed’s aura said ----‘Touch her and you die.’
Luci returned with the water and
started to pour it in. Eden came up behind her and helped put the
water in the troth. “This is heavy, I’ll help.” He smiled, only
making Ed madder. “Hey, Luci, why don’t we go see if the boss
needs us?” he said forcefully dragging her away from the 'Eden'. She glanced to her brother. “Ah, um, okay.” She said not
sure whether to thank him or not…
As time goes by, Luci and Ed start
coming to the ranch whether it was for work or for just being there.
The ranch was so much more than home too them. So, months and then a
year go by and their sales start to go down.
Ed was told about the sales and starts
to look for Luci. Nothing really changed much in the past year.
Besides the sales obviously.
“Now, I know that he’s my brother
but sometimes I just want him to stop reading books and do some of
the work around here!” She yelled at the cow that just gave her a
blank stare. “Yeah, I know what you’re thinking…'just go and
tell him that’ and I do! But he gives me the same answer-”
“I do as much as you do, Luci.” He
said as he walked up behind her cutting her off.
Being scared half to death, she fell
backwards off of the fence, and scared the cow away. ”Ow…” She
complained and sat up.
Randomly, Eden was there and helped her
stand up. Ed, at that moment, was sending out an evil glare. Eden
gave him the same look. Luci looked at them. This also didn't
change.
Ed snapped out of it and remembered why
he came here in the first place. “Oh, well since we’re ALL here…”
He glared at Eden. “ I have something to tell you guys…” Ed
then explained what had happened with the sales.
“Oh man…” Luci said. "We’re
500$ in the hole!?” Eden exclaimed. “That’s what I just said…”
Luci was thinking while they were arguing. “Hey, isn't there a
county fair coming up soon?”
Both boys moved their attention to
Luci. “Ah, Yeah, why?” She looked at them. “Well, I read a
little about it and I think one of the prizes for one of the contests
was 500$, but you two will have to work together….Please! For me
and Boss!!” Ed and Eden looked at each other. “Well...If you say
it that way…”
The next week was the county fair. It
was all lit up with music in the air. It was like you were somewhere
else, and not in the little town the twins grew up in. Ed, Luci, and
Eden all met up.
”Alright lets go and find out which
contest it is!” Luci said way to happily. Ed sighed, and Eden
laughed. They split up and looked at all the different contests.
Finally they found it. The talent contest.
They all looked at each other. “Ah,
do you guys have any idea what to do…?” Ed and Eden looked at the
confused girl.
“Well….” Ed started. “Luci, you
could sing.” Luci looked at her brother. ”I’ll do it for you
two and the ranch...” She said a little nervously.
They walked up to the talent contest
table to enter. Luci got a paper that said ‘number 13’. She
looked up at her brother. “Um … what song should I do?” She
asked. They both wondered.
“What song do you feel comfortable
with singing?” Ed asked. Luci sat there for a moment. “Well, I
did write a song…That I could do….” She said.
“Then do that!” Eden said and
smiled. “Ok, sounds good to me!” She smiled back. Ed just sighed
and also smiled.
When it was time for Luci to get up on
stage she was a little nervous. She walked up and asked the lead
singer of the band that was playing for his gaiter. He agreed and she
started to play.
Her song talked about the life she had
and the life she has now with her brother and Eden. It also talked
about the ranch and how she loved the place. The course of the song
was ---“I still can’t believe that I’m here…at home.”
That’s when the song ended and the whole fair went into a clapping
sensation.
Luci bowed and went off the stage. Ed
and Eden come up and hugged her because the song meant a lot to them.
When they heard the winner their faces lit up. “And the winner is
number 13! Luci!” Everyone clapped. Luci at that moment jumped on
Ed and hugged him. “We did it!” She yelled. Ed shook his head.
“No. You did it, Luci.” He smiled. The three of them went and
claimed their prize. 500$.
At that moment they all ran to the
ranch and knocked on the house’s front door. The boss opened it in
surprise. “We did it!!!” Luci yelled as she tackled the old
man. Ed and Eden both laughed at her.
“W-Whats got ya'll kids so excited..?”
He asked. Luci then explained what had happened and handed him the
money.
“So now we can stay, right?” She
asked the boss. As he was handed the money, the older gentleman
started to cry. “Of course you can.” He said as he hugged her.
“You two-” He pointed. “Get over here.” He said. The two boys
finally agreed on something and walked over, being dragged into the hug by their boss.
Because of Luci’s song, everyone in
town now goes to the ranch. Even though some time has gone by...
Nothing has changed. Ed and Eden were glaring at each other. Luci
ends up doing all the work. The boss is still relaxing and laughing
at them. The boss’s wife, Mrs. Jessie still makes the best cookies,
and Luci is still working on saving up for a gaiter. Nothing has
changed and I don’t think it ever will.

Faith Like A Tree Nut's Shell
You see, I have this habit.
It's not a bad habit. I just tend to do it, often without me even realizing.
I have a tendency to let my mind wonder on things most people wouldn't even think twice about. One of these many thoughts became a Tree Nut. I'm not even sure how the seed came into mind during the evening hours of the night, but it did, and when I had collected my final thoughts, I needed to share them.
The first thing that came to mind when thinking about the Tree Nut was that even though it wasn't even an inch in length, it could fall from tall heights without even gaining a scratch. If we people were the same size, and fell from that same height, we wouldn't survive. And even then, if we were our normal size, falling from more than a couple of feet, we would still most likely get a scratch or two. I began to think how strong God made such a small Nut.
But then I thought "The Nut has a shield."
That was about the time I started thinking that the Tree Nut's shell was a lot like our faith. Instead of having a sold shield around us. We have our trust with the Holy Spirit. He protects us from the Flesh of the world and helps us to stand after we trip or fall in our faith.
So I've decided that I want to have faith that is as strong as a Tree Nut's shell.

Story Time With Gezusgeek
I decided that I needed to post, and considering the fact that I am short on discussion topics, a story has been chosen for your entertainment. Aren't cha glad you don't have to read another one of my random rambles?
Well, at any rate, it's Story Time! This was written for my Latin class. Hope you enjoy!
In the large nation of Grathina, a son
was born to the king and queen. Though the queen was overly happy
with the birth of a son after having so many daughters, the king did
not wish for a new heir. As a result, when the prince was a toddler
and could be separated from it's mother, the king ordered the child
to be cast out into the woods.
The lost child wondered until he was
found and adopted by local farmers. They raised him as there own,
knowing that he was the lost child of the kingdom, they hid him from
the people of the palace. Though they changed his last name to match
their own, they kept the first and middle names that the queen had
given him. His hard working father called him Lyon, which is the name
he goes by, but his mother called him Leo, his first name, because
she found it to fit his character more.
As Lyon grew, he helped his father as
much as he could, but seemed to be closest to his mother. When he was
only ten years old, his mother died of an illness. When he became the
age of sixteen, his father told him of his true family. Lyon was more
surprised than angry that his father would keep such a thing from
him, but he understood why at the same time.
“So my real father was trying to kill
me? Because I'm the only heir to the throne?” Asked Lyon to the
farmer. His adoptive father nodded. “I have a few friends who work
in the palace. Turns out that our king told your birth mother that
you had sneaked out and were found dead in the woods. Seemed he
wanted you out of the picture.” Lyon thought it over and looked to
his father figure, a determined look on his face.
“I'm going to train and become strong
so that I can overthrow my father and stop the madness he's been
spreading. This kingdom has been though enough over the years.” The
farmer was proud of the son he had raised, knowing that the throne
and the kingdom would be good in his hands.
So after a tearful goodbye, Lyon was
off on his journey to become strong. Many tasks came to Lyon on his
travels. He helped many on his way to manhood. He was pretty strong
already from all the farmers work he helped his father with, but had
no experience with any kind of weapon other than a plow. That
wouldn't do. So after resting in a small town, he started asking
around for a master swordsman. His search came to an end when he met
a woman in the market. She happened to be the wife of a swordsmen and
said he wouldn't be so easy to persuade.
So as a test, she told him that at the
top of the Kaze mountain, which wasn't far from the village, a great
fire bird lived. The bird's eggs were rare and delicious. So if he
could retrieve one from it's nest, she would convince her husband to
give him some pointers.
Lyon complained as he climbed the
mountain, something along the lines of “Why did I agree to this?”
But no one was really listening. Looking up, the nest came into view.
It was really big. Thankfully, the monster wasn't home at the
moment, so Lyon quickly climbed into the nest to see a dozen large
red eggs. As if on cue, when he had touched one, the fire bird came
after him. Lyon barely dodged the dragon sized creature by rolling
over to the edge of the nest. The flamed beast crashed into it's eggs and
Lyon wondered if the force would had smashed them. When the bird
stood, the eggs were unharmed, but the nest took a large amount of
damage. A plan was forming in the lad's head as the fire bird rose
with it's wings into the air. This was his chance. Lyon dove
underneath the bird and grabbed one of it's eggs. He was surprised by
how light it was, but the thought was quickly set aside as the
phoenix came at him with full force and head first. Taking the
chance, Lyon stood his ground and held out the egg as if it were a
shield. The bird tried to pull back, not wanting to hurt it's young
but it was to late. The bird crashed it's head into the egg, but the
egg did not crack, it's shell proving to be harder than most metals.
The fire bird had knocked itself out, thus giving Lyon the chance to
take the egg and run for it.
After giving the egg to the woman, she
led him to their little home. It reminded him of his own home that he
had left behind. The swordsman turned out to be the blacksmith of the
village and was making a sword as the two came in. He was an order
man that looked rough around the edges. His wife explained what the
lad had done for her and that he came to ask about swordsmanship. The
man turned to Lyon, looking him over. “Come, sit down and tell me
about how you retrieved the egg.” Lyon followed the man orders by
sitting down and explaining what had happened.
“I see.” Said the swordsman. “I'm
not the master for you kid, but know that you have plenty of
potential. Just not for swordsmanship.”
Lyon gave a confused expression. “How
will I know what to take up? Or who my master should be?” The man
smiled. “Rely on your instincts as you did with the fire bird, and
you will know what you need to do. For now, stay and have some of me
wife's cooking. You provided the meal after all.”
Lyon nodded as a thought came to him.
“What about the egg's shell? How will she brake it?” The older
man laughed. “Never underestimate a woman my boy! Ha ha ha!”
So Lyon did stay for dinner, finding
the older couple to be fine company. Being persuaded to stay the
night, Lyon left in the morning. On his way he helped a merchant
deliver some goods, in return, the man told him a shortcut to the
next town. It was through the forest. With thanks, he followed the
merchant’s advice by taking the path. The forest was bright at
first, but the deeper he walked into it, the darker it got. Becoming
nervous, he started talking to his mother, who would not answer, but
it made him feel better. Lyon hated places such at these. He gained
the feeling that a hungry-eyed animal would come out and try to
attack him.
Just as he thought that, something did
come out to attack him. But it was no animal. Lyon landed on the
ground from the surprise, in the process he might have let out a
shriek, but he wouldn't admit it. He was a man after all. Well, he
thought so anyway.
Instead of an animal, a beautiful girl
stood over him, pointing her spear at his throat. She had an angry
glare set on him as her dark green eyes contacted with his bright
blue ones. Her long brown hair was braided, almost reaching her
knees. She wore some armor, and for a moment he feared that she was
from the palace, but there was no symbol. So he wondered why she was
here.
“What do you think you're doing on my
family's property, peasant?” His jaw dropped. “I'm not the one
who lives in the woods!” Okay, So maybe that wasn't the best thing
to say to a woman with a weapon at his throat.
Her expression soured, more offended by
the remark rather than angry. “So it has come to that, but my
family had owned this land, thus I shall protect it.” He raised a
brow to the girl. “I thought this forest was owned by the kingdom?”
She glanced away, seemingly upset by the comment.
“That's right.” She took her spear
away from his form, allowing him to sit up. She actually sat next to
him. “That monster of a king is to blame. He tore my family away
from me and thus my land with it. My poor kingdom was small, but
plentiful.” He blinked, interrupting her. “Your kingdom? What are
you? A princess?”
He laughed, but stopped when she gave
him a serious look. “Yes, I am. Do you have a problem with that?”
He shook his head, not wanting to make her angry. She sighed. “That
evil man must have saw the resources we had and wanted it her
himself. That selfish excuse for a ruler should be dethroned.”
Lyon glanced to her, she seemed rather
angry, but he knew it was towards his father and not towards himself.
That's about the time it hit him. He turned to her. “What if I said
that I could make that happen?” She raised a brow, not
understanding what a mere boy could do. “How is that?” She wasn't
going to lie. She was curious.
“You may not believe me, but I'm
actually the Prince. You see I need to stop all of the madness- Hey!
Where are you going?” She didn't turn back as she started to walk
away. “You're crazy! The king doesn't have any sons!” He rolled
his eyes. “Just hear me out alright!?” She stopped, looking back
at him, staring him down. There was a determination in his eyes
that she recognized. It reminded her of herself.
She sighed, walking back over to him.
“Fine I'll listen, but I still don't believe you.” He smiled.
“You don't have to. I just want to stop all of the suffering he's
caused. Once he see's me, he'll know who I am, and most likely try
everything in his power to get rid of me like he did when I was a
child.”
She glanced to him. “And what does
this have to do with dethroning him?”
He smirked, glad that he liked reading so many books. “There's a law. A law
that stats if the king is challenged to a duel by the next heir, and
loses, the heir may become king before the appointed time. So if I
challenge him and win, I'll be able to become king and restore
balance to the other kingdoms.”
“What does this have to do with me?
What will I get out of it?” She raised a brow at his confident
look. “You, will teach me the way of the spear, and with those
skills I will become king, and when I do, I will make it my first
duty to restore your kingdom. Deal?”
He put out his hand, and after staring
at it a few minutes, she shook it. “Deal.”
He smiled to her as he let go of her
hand. “I'm Lyon, by the way.” She smiled back. “You can call me
master.” She started to walk off, expecting him to follow.
Lyon pouted slightly, running after her.
“Come on, gave me your real name, I promise to still call you
master!” She laughed. “Fine, fine. My name is Shenah.” He
nodded, finding the name to suit her.
“Alright maggot, let's begin
training.” He blinked. “What...Right now?!”
So the two started training, their own
goals set out before them. As time went by, the two even became close
friends. But even as deeper feelings started to grow, they had a mission to
complete and both agreed that their feelings for one another would be
put aside until after it was done with.
Months have gone by since that day and Lyon had
learned everything from his master. They even went and visited the
old swordsman and his wife, requesting that he would make a spear for
Lyon. The older man was glad to hear that he had found what he needed
to do.
Now Lyon had become a master himself.
Though his training was hard to deal with, and his master even
harder, he had become a student to be proud of. With both being
confident in his skills, the two headed towards the Grand Palace of Grathina.
It was time for the king's rule to end.
The two thought that style was
important, so they barged right into the throne room, easily
defeating any guards that tried to get in their way. Once the king
was in sight, he challenged him then and there. His father looked
down into the boy's eyes and knew that he was the same little boy he had left in the woods to die.
The kings face filled with fear as the
supposed dead boy was now standing before him with an angry gaze.
“Y-Y-You're supposed to b-be dead! I-I-I killed you! Left you out
to die!” The remaining people that were left in the room gasped at
the truth, the queen, who was sitting next to her husband, cried at
the sight of her long lost child.
“Do you except my challenge or not
old man?” Lyon smirked at the angry expression his father was
wearing. “O-Of course I do!” The king knew that this would be the
only way to kill the boy fair and square. If he didn't except, the
consequences would be drastic for him.
So they moved to the dueling court and
the king was given his sword. A sword was offered to Lyon, but he
assured the man that his own weapon would be fine. Then they took
their stances. Lyon was calm and collected, taking in breathes to
help him concentrate. His father on the other hand, had a poor
stance, holding the sword with both hands, trying to keep himself
from shacking. From anger and fear.
There was quite a crowd gathered to see
if their selfish king would finally be put to rest. The fact that the
only son of the king had come to claim his rightful place on the
throne had gathered a large crowd. They were chanting Lyon's name,
his first name anyways, shouting it as load as they could. Seems
everyone has had enough of the selfishness of the king. This only
made the king angrier.
Then the horn sounded, telling the two
to start. They both sprinted towards one another, and with one
precise movement, Lyon easily dodged his father's lousy rage swing
and took his spear to his father's neck. With the blade only
centimeters away from his skin, the king fearfully surrendered.
The crown went wild and Shenah was the
first to give the new heir a hug for his victory. Lyon took the
chance and hugged her back. Then he looked over her shoulder, he saw
the look of evil itself come on his father's face as he came rushing
towards them with his sword. By instinct, Lyon twisted his body out of
the way, using the rounded end his spear to push his father behind him. But there was
a ledge there and the king was flipped off of it from the force. Lyon
was holding onto Shenah with his other arm and couldn't reach out to
him. They heard his screams until they faded away. The drop was high
and he wouldn't had survived.
So though there was a slight sadness,
the evil man's fire needed to be put out anyways. In that very
evening, Lyon was crowned king over Grathina. A few weeks later, he
married Shenah and together they helped restore her kingdom, as
promised. Though the land was still owned by Grathina, Shenah was in
charge of returning it to it's former glory. So everyone lived happily
ever after.

Long Time No Read?
Haha, Hey Everyone! I know that I haven't been online in a long time, but I want to start being more active with longer post. Why? Because I've found that my post are pretty small and I like wasting your time by reading them. :D So as the clock goes around, I'll try and post more often!
As far as what I'll be posting...I have a few new art pieces, so look forward to that! And I think I'm going to start writing short stories and posting them. I warn you that my stories are very random. But I think that just makes them more enjoyable.
Right now I am currently in Ohio, and will most likely be here for the winter and some of spring, though I'm not sure. We're here trying to help my great grandmother, who was put into the hospital for rest last night. I ask that you pray for her. Her condition isn't critical or anything, but I still ask that you keep her in your prayers. My mom has already left for the hospital, I barely saw her as she went out the door because I had just woken up.
Yeah, I kind of woke up around 12:00...I went to bed at around 1:30 last night but I still slept in a really long time. Oops. Oh well, I'm allowed, It is Saturday after all. But really, I have no idea why I suddenly got the urge to write a blog post while eating my breakfast. I'm a strange one.
Speaking of strange, I have run out of Disney movies to waste my day with. I had it all planed out. I was going to wake up, take a shower, lay on the couch, and watch Disney movies that I haven't seen in a while.First I wake up and eat, which is good, but then I hear the washing machine going! That means I can't take a shower until it's done. Just great. Then I try and put on a Disney movie, but Netflix, Hulu, and my Father's Hard Drive are against me. I've pretty much ran out! Blasphemy! Cursed devises...
Well, with me, my brother, and my father being alone at home, I suppose that I'll have my hands full anyways. Guess I'll just try and keep the house from falling down.
Hope you guys have a great day! Talk to you later!
